Przytaczam poniżej kilka wybranych uwag znakomitego malarza Marka Szarego o mojej twórczości, która – podobnie jak mitologia słowiańska – wyrasta ze świata natury i przeświadczenia, że nosi ona w sobie pierwiastki nadprzyrodzone oraz siłę budowania porządku i harmonii materialnej i duchowej.
„Malarstwo Anny Bochenek płynie harmonijnym nurtem światła, koloru i kształtów. Jest ciągłą wariacją poszukiwania prapoczątku. Tematem zaś poszukiwań artystycznych jest szeroko rozumiana natura. To w ten świat odbywa ciągłą podróż, w nim się gubi, ale i odnajduje, w nim szuka ostatecznej wersji wyrażania się. Szuka symbolu natury zakodowanej w obrazie, w którym każdy może się przejrzeć i zatrzymać.
Powstające od 18 lat prace skupiają się wokół jednego nieuchwytnego punktu zaczepienia. Tym punktem, jak mówi sama autorka, jest „Źródło”: <<…Żyje dzięki źródłu, którego niewidzialność jest jednym z wymiarów przyrody…>>.
Główną ideą w twórczości Anny Bochenek jest „Źródło”. Tak widzi tajemnicę początku. (…)
Abstrakcyjne kompozycje artystki mają swój początek w życiu, świecie który ją otacza, i są „rezultatem” tego świata. Przeglądając jej prace można natrafić na obrazy, które przenika poezja, bliźniacza siostra malarstwa. Odnajdujemy w tej abstrakcyjnej metaforze i plusk wody, szum wiatru, zapach zaoranych pól czy wonność flory. W jej malarstwie przetrwały bowiem ślady figuracji, a może tylko jej cienie? Pojawiają się więc ptaki, ryby czy bliżej nieokreślone z gatunku stworzenia jako archetypy życia. Przez swoją prostotę sprowadzone do znaku mówią o ponadczasowości natury, łącząc w jedno przeszłość i teraźniejszość. Przyroda nie jest dekoracją dla człowieka, lecz jako samoistny motyw artystyczny ma swoją tajemniczą duszę, żywiołową poezję i niezależny byt. Według niej przyroda to nie zalotnica pozująca do portretu, lecz bogini olbrzymia, groźna, tajemnicza, ale zawsze piękna. Jej malarstwo nie portretuje przyrody, lecz przede wszystkim ją wyraża, oddając jej nastrój i duszę. Maluje obrazy całą swoją kondycją, radościami, humorem, smutkiem, ale i optymizmem. Jak sama mówi, najważniejsza w jej pracy jest intuicja, wyobraźnia, szczęście i szczypta szaleństwa.
(…) Zarówno sztuka jaskiń, grot i malarstwo Anny ma podobny emocjonalny wymiar. Malowidła paleolityczne nie są stanem dzikości jak sądzono zaraz po ich odkryciu, ale są wyrazem kultury człowieka pierwotnego. Malowidła skalne dla sztuki nowoczesnej są punktem wyjścia tej idei, która mówi, iż sztuka od pradawnych czasów tak, jak i obecnie jest aktem twórczym, składającym się z celowości wyboru materiału, form i emocji człowieka. Ludzie, którzy malowali ściany jaskiń, w zasadzie nie byli od nas ani lepsi ani gorsi, ani mniej zdolni czy pierwotniejsi. Motywy ich postępowania były tak samo rozmaite, jak człowieka współczesnego.
(…)Jej malarstwo ożywia, obecne pod planem malowidła, silne pragnienie introspekcji i poznania. Obrazy są przewodnikiem po ziemi budzącym zachwyt i tęsknotę prapoczątku”.
I quote below a few selected remarks of a prominent painter Marek Szary about my work: like Slavonic mythology – my work rises from nature and the conviction that it carries not only supernatural elements, but also the power of creating order and achieving material as well as spiritual harmony.
“Anna Bochenek’s painting flows with the harmonious stream of light, colour and shapes. It is a continuous variation on searching for the very beginning. The main theme of her work is broadly understood Nature. It is in this world that she makes a constant journey, that she gets lost, but finds her way again, and that she looks for the final way of expressing herself. Anna looks for the symbol of nature coded in a picture, a symbol in which anyone can examine himself and stop.
For 18 years, in her works, Anna has focused on one elusive point of reference. This point, as the artist says herself, is “ The Source” :<<….I live thanks to the source, whose invisibility is one of the dimensions of nature.>>
The main theme of Anna Bochenek’s work is ” the Source” . This is how she understands the mystery of the beginning.
The abstract works of the artist have got its beginning in life, in the world that surrounds her, and they constitute “the result” of this world. Looking at her paintings, we may come across the pictures which are full of poetry, a twin-sister of painting. In this abstract metaphor, we may find splash of water, wind rustle, the smell of plowed fields or the fragrance of flora. In her paintings there are traces of figuration, or they might be just its shadows. Thus, we can notice birds, fish, and other non-defined species as the archetype of life.
Simple as they are, being just signs, they talk about timelessness of nature, combining the past and the present. Nature is not decoration for a human being, but as an autonomous artistic motif, it has its own mysterious soul, lively poetry and independent existence. According to Anna, nature does not lure us to portray it ,but it acts as a ferocious, mysterious, yet always beautiful goddess. The artist’s works does not portray nature, but it expresses nature, reflecting its mood and soul. She works on her paintings with her whole condition, joys, humour, sadness, and optimism as well. She says that what is important in her work is intuition, imagination, luck and a bit of craziness.
(…) Both the cave art and Anna’s paintings have a similar emotional dimension. Paleolithic paintings are not a state of wilderness, as they were thought to be at the beginning, but they reflect the culture of primitive people. For modern art, cave paintings constitute a starting point for the belief that art has always been an act of creation consisting of the careful choice of material, form and human emotions. People who painted walls of caves were neither better nor worse than us, nor less talented or more primitive. Their motivation was as varied as that of a contemporary artist.
(…) Anna’s paintings enliven the strong crave for introspection and learning. Her works constitute a guide of the earth which arouse the admiration and yearning for very beginning.
